Subdivided from a proposed Dunlop Industrial estate at the end of the 1950s, the bulk of homes were built as contemporary styled early 1960s designs, typified by low pitched roof lines.

Many of these homes have been upgraded or extended; however, there has been a strong demand from new home buyers in the past 5 years to demolish the older homes and numerous quality luxury residences have been created.

Families enjoy many recreational amenities the bay offers and the suburb is surrounded to the north by world class golf courses.
