A consummate sales professional, high-achieving auctioneer and comprehensive Bayside specialist, Stephen Wigley has been a key member of the Hodges team since the early 2000s and a Director of the business since 2015.  Known for his deep understanding of the Bayside area and respected for his ability to put that knowledge to work for his clients, Stephen has built his reputation on an ability to work longer, harder and better for his clients.

A natural communicator with a strong presence on auction day and a tenacious approach around the negotiating table, Stephen believes listening closely and speaking thoughtfully is the key to a successful sale. “Good communication is about more than saying the right thing at the right time. “ he says. “It’s the ability to listen first, act second and maximise the power of a well-placed pause.”

However, there is one point of communication that rarely gives Stephen pause – the rewards of the Bayside lifestyle (and market). A local for most of his life, Stephen has connections to St Leonard’s College (over three generations) and throughout the sporting community – including as a past-President and premiership coach of Hampton Rovers Juniors, plus a recently shifted allegiance to coach his son at Beaumaris Sharks.

Equally passionate about getting a walk in on the Fairways of Victoria Golf Cub as around the clifftops of the bay, Stephen says there’s always a way to stay active…and be active in the community. “A true local agent adds real value.
