As reported in The Age over the weekend, the midwinter real estate market is consistently delivering results to sellers. It’s laying down the groundwork to be the largest and strongest spring market Melbourne has seen in five years.

In the last month, auction clearance rates have remained steady at an average of 73 per cent despite a significant increase in listings compared with this time last year.

Hodges’ Paul Bond told The Age that there are lots of buyers who think there is going to be more competition in the spring market, so they are getting in before hand. Paul reported that open houses have still been well attended despite the cold, miserable weather.

If you’re thinking of capitalising on Melbourne’s current market conditions and selling your home, call Hodges today for professional advice.
