Why Spring is still the perfect time to sell your home

Spring has typically been the most popular season for home sales Australia wide and the busiest time of year for us real estate Agents. The market tends to heat up along with the weather and an abundance of active buyers begin to emerge.

Things are obviously a little different going into this Spring, as we work collectively as a nation to beat the global pandemic and flatten the curve.

A question that’s commonly being asked by customers during this time, is are there active buyers currently in the market? The answer is yes. Buyer demand and buyer enquiries have surged during this time. The latest restrictions have had almost no impact on the amount of traffic and users visiting realestate.com.au. There has also been significant year-on-year growth in the number of users on the buyer section of the website since mid-April. This highlights that buyer appetite is increasing and Australia’s immense focus on property remains.

Due to the pandemic, we are naturally seeing less than normal stock on the market. The advantage to this means that there is currently more competition for properties out there and more customers viewing the properties currently for sale this Spring.

We have many active buyers in our database who are ready to buy, and we have all the technologies in place to facilitate the signing of any necessary paperwork digitally. Properties can be sold, leased, or bought during this time through our seamless, paperless process.

In addition to this, there are many other factors that instil us with confidence that this season presents a tremendous opportunity to sell. With the Federal Government monetary support, Australians and small businesses have been able to better position themselves and endure the effects of the pandemic. Further to this, the Reserve Bank of Australia has provided $90 billion to the banks at a record low cash rate of 0.25 per cent. This is to safeguard a readily available cheap line of credit throughout this crisis.

We are confident that this Spring presents a fantastic opportunity to sell your home or at least welcome a free property virtual valuation.
