Kitchen Storage Ideas

Kitchens are the heart of the home, whether you like it or not, you’ll find yourself gravitated towards the kitchen. It is the centre of your family’s day-to-day living. You probably begin your day in the kitchen brewing a coffee or preparing your breakfast. Kitchen’s can quickly become cluttered, messy and chaotic. If you’re lacking kitchen space, and want to maintain some order in your life, take a look at our space saving storage ideas…

Go vertical

If you’re cabinets and drawers are overflowing, why don’t you add some above window storage or floating shelves. Chances are you won’t currently be utilising this space. Take it up a level and de-clutter your benchtop space.

Strategic storage

Keep your everyday items close and in reach, while your less used gadgets and appliances tucked away and out of reach. Don’t let your ice cream maker make itself at home on the benchtop in the middle of Winter. Don’t have clutter on display, instead save the exposed storage areas for your glasses and fine china and keep. Have a strategic, well thought out storage system that suits your family’s needs and lifestyle.

Install a pull-out pantry

Pull-out pantries are perfect for small apartments or kitchens with nooky layouts. They come in all shapes and sizes, with shelves, tandems, or even a rotating carousel to maximise your kitchen space.

Go industrial

Take advantage of industrial kitchens being the height of fashion and utilise some low maintenance, trendy industrial style storage. Use pipe storage to hang your coffee cups, it frees up space and looks super chic. Hang a pots and pans rack, they show of your collections while also keeping these items out of the way, the bonus is they’re readily available to grab when you need to quickly whip something up in the kitchen.

Containers are your best friend

Branded packaging can look busy and disordered. Utilise labelled colour coded containers for all your pantry ingredients. It will save you time in the long run, eliminate the risk of spillages and leaks, is much more visually appealing and will bring some order into your busy life.
