Vanessa Downey knew she was destined for a career in real estate from a very young age. She took an active interest in the property world almost as soon as she left school, often attending Open Houses and Auctions, and following the results in the newspapers to see how closely she had predicted the result. However, being someone who takes a long term perspective of her ambitions, she chose to broaden her horizons and develop her sales skills in order to ensure that her move into the property world was built on solid foundations. Having honed her customer service and negotiation skills working in the demanding area of event planning and travel, Vanessa then chose to undertake further tertiary studies in order to expand her knowledge of corporate communications. It was only once she had achieved success and recognition in all of these fields that she decided to take the step into the world of residential real estate sales. Of course, having been raised and educated in the south eastern suburbs, and now residing in her own home by the bay, it was no surprise to see her approach the Hodges team in Mentone in order to commence her real estate career. She is now a much valued member of this team, working closely with Director Andrew Plousi to ensure that each client they assist receives the highest possible levels of service and advice.
