Craig Cox

When did you join Hodges and which branch of Hodges do you work for?

A move to Melbourne from the King Valley ten years ago saw me open up a Buxton Real Estate office in Carnegie. After building a strong following across the southeastern suburbs, and now married and with our daughter about to start school, my family and I made the ‘sea change’ to Beaumaris. After selling up the business and having a decadent six month break from work filled with fishing and settling in to our new home and community, I joined Hodges Beaumaris two years ago. I felt they had the strong customer focus and community based approach to real estate I had been looking for.

What do you like most about your job?

Beaumaris truly feels like a country town in the city and I love the Beaumaris lifestyle, the people and the sense of community – all of which makes it very easy to sell people homes here!

What is a great piece of real estate advice you could share?

Buy the biggest block of land you can afford, because it’s the land that will appreciate in time and secondly, buy what you love.  If you love it, the likelihood is others will too when it comes time to sell.  And in the meantime stay there for ten years or more and – enjoy!

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I love fishing and have joined the Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron. When not trying to reel in the elusive gummy, I am spending time with my beautiful family which, when my daughter is involved usually involves a ball of some sort…

What public personality/celebrity have you been likened to and why?

Daniel Craig (obviously). I think it’s the hair …

If a reality program was made on your life, what would it be called?
